MFI International, has achieved another milestone in its ongoing dedication to maintaining the highest levels of internal trade and security practices. The company recently received a vital global supply chain certification from the Mexican government recognizing its ongoing security levels for business partners. The OEA (Operadores Económicos Autorizados) certification is recognized by the world Customs Association and aligned international security protocols.
Formerly known as NEEC, this certification is Mexico’s equivalent to the C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism). Authorized Economic Operators may be manufacturers, importers or exporters, logistics companies that manage warehouses, brokers, carriers, ports, airport and terminal operators, or distributors.
Although certification can be an involved process, MFI felt it was worth the investment of time and resources involved. MFI is now placed on a list of trusted shipping companies. This step reinforces the company’s commitment to avoiding supply chain disruptions, reducing theft and damage, and expediting customs clearances, so that MFI can continue to be a trusted international supplier for clients.
“MFI is proud to be the first manufacturing company in Mexico, in the textile industry, to hold this recognition,” stated President and COO, Lawrence Wollschlager. “We are always dedicated to manufacturing excellence, and have a significant level of safety protocols in place. With this Mexican security validation, we are increasing our ability to protect our supply chain and expedite shipments, which results in better and faster service to our valued customers.”
A contract manufacturer since 1962, MFI has become a trusted business partner to some of the world’s leading brands, based in part on having a supply chain security protocol of the highest standards.
